Welcome to the Darlington Chamber Music Series for 2018

Greetings and welcome to another exciting year of concerts in Darlington. This is the 15th season now meaning our first concert for this will in fact be our 71st concert since we began in 2003, an amazing milestone that we are all extremely proud of.

Darlington Hall is going through some much needed renovations so our first 2 concerts are going to be held in the new Boya Community Centre.

Once again we have a terrific, varied and exciting program with some particular highlights.

Concert one will feature the Mozart String Quintet where we welcome violist Ben Caddy to join our newly established string quartet. Concert two will feature the Darlington Quartet, taking on arguably one of the greatest and most challenging works ever written for this combination, Beethoven's 15th Quartet, one of his last and most profoundly beautiful works. We are also very excited to be premiering a new work written for us by West Australian Composer, James Ledger.

We welcome back, for our 3rd show, Cathie Travers (Piano Accordion) and Baritone Robert Hofman with their hilarious show "What the Fandango" which can't be missed for the sheer fun of it.

In our fourth concert we'll be presenting two stunning Piano Quartets by Beethoven and Brahms and finally, as always in our fifth concert, we'll be going out with a bang with a Piano Sextet by Dohnanyi and String Quartet by Haydn.

Please come and join us for yet another year of amazing music and of course afternoon teas.

Artistic Director
