Programme for 2019
A Winter of Chamber Music Concerts

2019 marks the 16th year of presenting world class chamber music in the wonderful setting of the Darlington Village. Our beloved Darlington Hall has now been refurbished and is back in action. Our 2018 Season was very successful and was well patronised by Chamber Music lovers from all over Perth.

For 2019 we have five fantastic programmes. Concert One will feature Anton Arensky’s stunning trio in D minor, performed by the original Darlington Concerts performers, the Darlington Trio. For Concert Two, we will fill the Hall with Latin inspired gems from virtuoso accordionist and Tango specialist, Cathie Travers and her band. Concert Three will feature Schubert’s iconic work, the double Cello Quintet in C, which will pair perfectly with David Popper’s spectacular “Grand Duo” suite for 2 Cellos where I will be joined by WASO Principal cello, Rod McGrath. Concert Four is the Darlington String Quartet presenting works by Dvorak, Bartok and Beethoven. We finish the season with Concert Five, starting with Debussy’s Piano Trio and rounding out the season with Ernest Chausson’s spectacular Concerto for Violin, Piano and string quartet.

We are excited to bring to this fabulous musical feast! Please come and join us for another year of great music and of course, our legendary afternoon tea.
